Opanka: I remain the greatest rapper

Rapper Opanka hasn't released a song in a while, but in his most recent release, Wavy, produced by Kicksbeats, he declares that he is still the greatest rapper in Ghana and that he still leads the rap scene.

Opanka: I remain the greatest rapper

In the song, which was released on January 12, Opanka brags about how great he is at the game and tells his rivals to shut up.

In his typical style, he raps on how, although latter-day saints are dismissing his significance, he has played a key role in elevating the perception of Ghanaian music rap as a pioneer.

Why should someone declare Opanka to be the greatest? You ought to be aware that he is. Examine my punchlines and flow. He raps, "I am always on top of my game and when I spit, it is fire," directed at Wavy.

Opanka stated in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that Wavy is a song from his next EP, which will be made available at a later time.

Additionally, he stated that the song serves as a reminder to Ghanaian rappers to give him the respect he deserves because he is still the best.

"Yes, it's been a while since I released a hit, but I still want to let other rappers know that Opanka is still active and has a lot going on." A handful of my tracks, like Popping ft. Kwaw Kese, Tie Tie, Wo, Hold On, and Trying Times, will prove my worth to anyone who has doubts about my ability to rap," he declared.

Speaking about the EP, Opanka stated that he had intended to release it last month but had to postpone it due to the death of his older sister.

Opanka gained a lot of notoriety in the Ghanaian music scene with the release of Tie Tie ten years ago. He then released Popping, featuring Kwaw Kese, which led to a nomination for Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Waves is expected to give him more exposure as he sparks discussion with the title of "Best Rapper."
