Past reports claim that the macho men sped off like armed criminals who had been convinced by security forces, refusing to let the voiceferous blogger's family inside their car.

The family quickly posted a distressing message on social media, pleading with others to assist them in locating Bongo Ideas.

Their initial course of action was to search every police station in Accra for their prince, but none of the police cells contained him.

Later, in official pronouncements, the Ghana Police Service and National Security reaffirmed that they had not invited nor detained Albert Nat Hyde, alias Bongo Ideas.

The two security services said that false claims on social media about Mr. Albert Nat Hyde being taken into custody by one of their officers had caught their notice.

Later, Bongo Ideas' family confirmed to a number of news outlets that he had returned home following his kidnapping in the style of Rambo.

In an interview with Angel FM, Nana Yaa, Bongo Ideas' sister, made it clear that they don't agree with his controversial social media remarks.

The sister claims that despite their repeated advice to stop expressing divisive views on social media, he has refused to listen to them.

Additionally, Nana Yaa disclosed that Bongo Ideas would be receiving medical attention since the men who kidnapped him severely mistreated him.
