Keche has said that Samini eagerly endorsed Akufo-Addo "out of hunger".

According to him, the only reason an artist would throw that much energy behind a political party is that they are no longer relevant in the music world and they want to make money to eat.

“Look at those musicians who openly endorse the political parties, they are not active and relevant in the music industry. Some of them have even stopped doing music so they see it as other means to survive.

While speaking on Kastle FM, he explained that he’s not criticizing those artistes who engaged in a political endorsement.

Per his words, only artistes who have reached the end of their ropes can risk it since they have nothing to lose.

“I understand them so I’m not criticizing them but as for Keche we’re not looking at ending our career anytime soon. It’s not that no political party approached us but we refused the proposals,” he concluded.

Samini endorsed President Akufo-Addo for a second term in his song titled Kpoyaka in which he catalogued the achievements of the president ranging from the agric, service, manufacturing and industry sectors of the economy.

“Nana show boy is number one on the ballot, Nana continues with the work because you have delivered,” Samini said

Sarkodie also backed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for a second term in office in this year’s elections, but he was not as direct as Samini.

He instead hid his words of support in the track, 'Happy Days', in which he featured Vodafone Ghana Music Award's Artist of the Year, Kuami Eugene.

'The Highest' said that Akufo-Addo has implemented a number of good policies that are benefitting all Ghanaians, he should be strongly considered for a second term in office.

“We all spoke against the dumsor (erratic power supply) and the high inflation rate and so if these have been solved at the moment with Ghanaians also enjoying free SHS, then all I can say is that Nana Akufo-Addo should continue for another four years,” he said.
