One Week Prayers Held For Appiatse Disaster Victims

The Bogoso Local Council of Churches in collaboration with the chiefs of Appiatse and Bepoh in the Prestea HUNI-VALLEY Municipality of the Western Region on Thursday, January 28 marks one week of observation in memory of persons who died in the explosion at Appiatse near Bogoso.

The memorial service is characterized by prayer sessions from both the traditional and the Christian leaders for the departed souls.

It was disclosed that the survivors of the Appiatse disaster would be relocated to a temporal structure for comfort until the town is rebuilt. 

The Chief of Bepoh Nana
Nana Kojo Atta Bremebi II, addressing the gathering, thanked the government for his quick response to the incident and plead with the authorities to help rebuild Appiatse as promised by the government. 

Rev. Abraham Kofi Abogya Odobil of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Bogoso, in a sermon, dwell his preaching on I Thessalonians Chapter 5:18 telling the people to always learn to give thanks to God whether in bad or good situation, adding that the Lord knows what is good for a man but as human, we don't understand why God sometimes allows certain things to happen to us.
