OKESS student commits suicide

A 16-year-old student of the Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) in Kumasi, has committed suicide at Asonomaso, in the Kwabre East Municipality.

The deceased - identified as Kwabena Prince - was found hanging behind the kitchen of his family house on Wednesday dawn.

According to reports, Kwaku Prince was caught by his mother, gambling with his friends in an unsafe place.

The deceased mother threatened to reort him to the police if he continues with such act, but Kwaku was not happy about the decision, which resulted in misunderstanding between the two.

Prince, after the confrontation with his mother, became angry and left the house.

He was later found dead, hanging at the back of their house, allegedly because of earlier confrontation with his mother.

 

 



The police at Asonomaso have conveyed the body to the mortuary for autopsy while investigations continue.
