The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Obuasi East district Assembly in the Ashanti  Region, Madam Faustina Ammisah  has embarked on a tour at various Basic Education Certificate Examination ,(BECE) Centres across the district on Monday October 10 ,2022.
As part of her tour,she advised the candidates to do away with fear and panic to write their exams freely.
She said,the NPP government has brought free Senior High School (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to help them further their education.
Speaking to the media she said she is very happy with the candidates preparedness and she is hopeful to see Obuasi top the 2022 BECE.
Again she said she is very happy this year no candidates got pregnant or fall sick.
Meanwhile the Member of Parliament for Obuasi East Constituency, Dr. Boakye Yiadom has inspired the candidates that his first born (son) is  also writing so he is happy to inspired them to learn hard to come out with success.
He said the future of the candidates will be determined after this exams so they should put fear and panic away and concentrate on the exams.
He indicated that no candidates should rely on "apur" because when you are cought, you cannot write exams for two years and beyond.
On the other hands the Education Director for Obuasi East District Assembly, Mr.kwabena Owusu Nketia said the number of candidates writing for the exams is 1,944 in Obuasi East.
Out of this 508 are private schools, and 1,434 are public schools.
He Said out of this figure, 916 are Males, whiles 1028 are females.
He said the exams takes place in three centers 
Christ the King Catholic school, Artic School and Boete School.
Meanwhile the district education director Said his worrying is the delay of payment of invigilation allowance, sometimes it has to delay for one year meanwhile the money is not enough.
 He appealed to the government to increase invigilation allowance of 14.00 a day to motivate teachers.
He said invigilators are not served with water or food which is unfair and so he appeals to government to have and look at this issues well.
Meanwhile,some of the candidates assures their parents to do well and come out with flying colors
