Ghana Education Service urged to introduce corruption studies to it curriculum

Ghana education services (GES) are urged to enroll in corruption studies as subjects to educate students on corruption and its negative consequences on the nation's development.

Very Rev Emmanuel Twumasi- Ankrah, Executive  Director of Synagogue council of churches and pastors association who made this request during the association's national thanksgiving proposed that integrity, attitude and corruption studies should be introduced to the GES curriculum so that the future leaders would be well and endowed with consequences of corruption to help minimize it in the country.

He explained that if Ghana Education Service walks with the suggestion it will expose the students to acquire knowledge to easily identify corruptible practices and circumstances which lead to the act.

Rev. Emmanuel stated that the main objective of education is to solve problems with the knowledge acquired, so if the country has Knowledgeable leaders but struggles to solve the country's challenges, why do we go to school? he quizzed.

He further indicated that there are traditional courses that are not helping students to tackle the country's problems after school, hence the government should replace them with courses it will help solve some of Ghana's problems immediately after school.
