A fourty year businessman, Shaib Baba Mohammed popularly known as Baba Phobia has joined the Bono East Chairmanship race of the opposition National Democratic Congress.

Baba Mohammed says he is putting himself up for the position because he believes he is the best person to lead the party in the Bono East region.
Speaking to Our correspondent Mark Asante, after filling his forms at the regional office in Techiman.
Mr. Mohammed further indicated that his hope to win the presidential elections and secure Eleven (11) out of Eleven (11) parliamentary seats in the Bono East region in 2024 and inspired by the peculiar acts of the founders of the umbrella fraternity.
He has envisioned reviving the soul of the party at the grassroots through a dynamic and all-inclusive leadership style.
He stated that the NDC needs a robust and " unorthodox, albeit practical strategy" to win the 2024 general elections to oust the New Patriotic Party from power.
