Tottenham are planning to replace Jose Mourinho with Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, the Daily Express reports.

Jose Mourinho is under pressure in North London after Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United which leaves him six points outside the Champions League spot, a standard set for Mourinho before his appointment last season by Daniel Levy.

Failure for Spurs to rekindle their performance out of Europa League spot means the Portuguese could be on his way out at the end of the season.

Nuno is tied to Wolves until 2023 but has also been linked with a move to Arsenal. His side currently sits 12 on the Premier League table after a dip in form following injuries cutting a swathe through his squad although they are safe from relegation fears.

The news outlet has revealed that Daniel Levy is a great fan of the Wolves boss who led the club out of the Championship three years ago and has taken them to the Europa League quarter-finals and two seventh-placed Premier League finishes.

Mourinho could redeem himself and save his exit if he manages to win the Carabao Cup from Manchester City on April 25, 2021, at Wembley.
