N/R: CPP loses 2020 PC to the Governing NPP in Kumbungu Constituency

The 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition Convention People’s Party (CPP) in the Kumbungu constituency, Nabila Alhassan Basiru has defected to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This was revealed on Thursday, June 17 on his Facebook timeline with the account name; Alhaji Noble Nabila, when he took to social media to announce his new marriage with the elephant family.

The announcement, according to him was to mark his birthday and a new day in his life as a member of the NPP.

“Today 17th June 2021 which happened to be my BIRTHDATE and a day I promised to announce to you all my next political direction, I wish to kindly inform you all that, I will be joining THE NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY (NPP) to start a new political life. I shall by today and future defend, speak, discharge my political activities in line with the constitution of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),” parts of the statement read.

Today is the day we all have been waiting for, a day that the nerves and minds of many will continue to wonder. A day many were anxious to hear the decision of the way forward to my career.

God has always been so good to me for the past years and today an additional year has been added to my life. AM PLUS 1
Alhamdulillah Almighty Allah for my life and the life of my beautiful family. Big big thank you, Almighty Allah, for all you have blessed me with, thanks to my mother Hajia Safiya for your prayers and guidance, I owed you my entire life for the pain you went through bringing me up to be morally ethical in every step I take in life.

Another big thanks to my beautiful wife Tiyumba, I owed you to my life for being so wonderful during our days as friends to the bearer of our wonderful, beautiful and handsome kids. God the Almighty Allah bless you for always taking good care of the family in my absence, God would reward your efforts with long life to benefits our fruits.

Thanks to my friends across the globe especially Issahak Abdul Fatawu and Toalitu Zuberu I cherish you guys so much in life, God bless you. Thanks to my team of able men and women that supported me during the 2020 General elections, once again I appreciate you and pray for you all, those we started with, those that left us during the course and to those that persuaded the Agenda to the end of the Elections.

Family and friends, I will be taking some time to study the constitution of the party, the ideology of the party, the communication principles and guidelines of the party to get myself equipped well. I shall be serving my new party with all honesty and loyalty, and I will do my very best to guide the reputation of the party.
