Ghanaian artiste, Singer Sefa, has claimed that female artistes only get support in the industry if they toe the line of using their bodies to entice the audience.

This follows after Wiyaala expressed her disgust at the entertainment pundits who accused her of not being relevant in Ghana because she has refused to engage in negative tactics so that Ghanaians would pay attention to her. Wiyaala stated that not everyone is prepared to sacrifice their sense of self just for publicity.

Singer Sefa has now echoed Wiyaala's words, as she claims that female artistes are not afforded the needed support from the industry players when they decide to go about their art with decency just like Wiyaala.

She said this while speaking TV3's entertainment show with host MzGee, as she lamented that female artistes only get attention when they act seductively or show flesh in their music videos and promotional content.

"There are a lot of people that really sing; a lot of amazing musicians. Efya is there; Efya sings but then you won't see Efya in the blogs because she's not grinding somebody on stage...or because she's not exposing too much or something," she said.

According to her, even though Ebony Reigns was talented, everyone wanted to see her naked body, and only a few paid attention to her songs.

"When Ebony was alive, most of the news you hear had to do with controversy. And it's not every artist or every female musician that wants to go that line" 

"So, if I come into the industry and I don't want to go that line, does that mean that my songs won't be heard or you won't push me because I'm not giving you something like that or I'll never get to the top because I'm not doing what you want me to do?" She concluded.
