No hit song can beat ‘My Own’ right now - Samini

Samini, a Ghanaian reggae dancehall musician, has declared with confidence that his hit song, "My Own," is the best among the "big four" performers, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and himself.

Samini firmly feels that none of the musicians mentioned above could create a song that might surpass his well-known track, even in his absence.

He stated that, in terms of music, he did not see himself as being on the same level as these performers.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm minding my own business, and I actually am not on the same level as these guys when it comes to music, you understand?" he said.

Samini continued by pointing out that it is unjust to place undue pressure on upcoming musicians by equating them to more established ones like himself. He thinks it's unrealistic to anticipate that the next generation of artists would immediately achieve his level of accomplishment.

"But I think it's unfair pressure to these kids when you want to bring them to my level like that," he said.

Samini confidently answered to those who said that his career had slowed down by saying, "Go get a degree and come back."

He especially referred to "My Own" when he said that he did not see any big changes in the music industry during his absence and that he doesn't think any of the current top songs can compare to it.

Samini also praised Stonebwoy for his most recent endeavor, "5th Dimension," and claimed that out of the "big four" artists, Stonebwoy's group had the only noteworthy release.
