Focus on development not funeral donations: NDC Treasurer hits back on NPP DCE

                   
The Bono Regional Treasurer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Isaac Amponsah Badu said the underdevelopment in the region should be the most important focus of leadership, not funeral donations.

 According to him, unlike other places that have seen massive development, the region continues to suffer gravely as a result of neglect by authorities in the region.

"What is happening currently in Sunyani clearly shows we don't have leadership. We have MCE and Regional Minister in here but what are you seeing in terms of lighting in our streets?, very bad, The whole Sunyani Township is dark and you can't even drive in the night" Mr. Amponsah Badu observed. 

He made this while reacting to the recent floods recorded in some parts of the region; something which is seen as unusual.

"I have complained without number but it appears the city authorities are unconcerned. Are they waiting for someone to die before they take steps to address the lighting challenges?" the NDC Executive quizzed.

He also complained bitterly about the state of roads in the region calling the government to take steps to address the people's challenges.
