NIC says the government did not collapse insurance companies

Dr. Justice Ofori, the Commissioner-General of the National Insurance Company, stated that the government did not collapse any insurance companies on purpose, but rather to protect Ghanaians.
He claims that the National Peoples Party (NPP) administration has never purposefully collapsed a corporation.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Sunyani, in the Bono area, by the Commissioner-General.
No one wants an insurance firm to fail, according to Dr.. Justice Ofori, but the government wants to protect people who have put money into it.
The Commission, he claims, would ensure that insurance companies have enough capital to maintain their businesses, particularly during Claim cases.
He also advised Ghanaians who have purchased insurance to attend any of the National Insurance Company's offices if they have any issues with their insurers.
