New Dagbon: Chief of Savelugu Sworn-In as GNPC Board Member

Paramount Chief of the Savelugu Traditional area, Yoo Naa AndaniYakubu Abdulai, has been sworn in as a Ghana National Petroleum Corporation board member.

The Paramount Chief of the Savelugu Traditional area, Yoo Naa AndaniYakubu Abdulai has been sworn in as a member of the board for the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

The eminent Chief who was the regent of Dagbon was sworn in together with others at the Ministry of Energy conference hall.

Minister for the Sector, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh charged the Board Members to add values to the oil reserves.

“The GNPC has the responsibility to maximise the use of oil resources for the benefit of the present and future generations.  I charge the Board of the national oil company to ensure that the interest of the nation is supreme in all partnerships and operations”. The Minister noted in a presser.

Chairman of the Board, Fredrick Worsemao Blay expressed appreciation of the Board to the President for the opportunity given.

He pledged the team commitment to work harmoniously with the Minister for the collective growth and advancement of the corporation.

Other Members on the Board include CEO, Dr KK Saropng, Mr Martin Kwakye, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, Mr Yaw Kyei and Madam Ama Gyamfuah Abrefa.
