The Chief of Anum-Asamankese, Barimah Essah Kwasi Mensah III and his elders have distanced themselves from all allegations levelled against the Municipal Chief Executive of Lower West Akyim in the Eastern Region, Honorable Seth Oduro Boadu.

Barimah Essah Kwasi Mensah III asserted that the alleged acts of insubordination and disregard for traditional authorities is not a true reflection of his working relationship with the chief and people of Anum-Asamankese.

The Chief in a press statement revealed, he strongly believes the Honourable MCE has been wrongly targeted in his quest to unite both traditional authorities through active participation in the local governance process.

According to the Rulers of Akwasi Nyame Bretuo stool, Anum Asaman Kese Ahenfie, "It is a judicial notice that our brothers from the other side have a calculated agenda in suppressing and undermining the relevance of his traditional brother, the Anum-Asamankese Hene" explaining that the education committee that was recently formed by the MCE had representatives from both sides of the traditional divide.

"We wish to assure the president, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akkuffo Addo that the chief of AnumAsamankese and his elders would not join the bandwagon in making a cacophony of emotional request and stampeding the selection process with unfounded allegations at a time the president needs a sound mind in forming his next government after a hectic campaign" he assured.

According to him, they are convinced that the president would appoint an MCE who shares in his vision and has a proven track record of competence to represent him to deliver on his national agenda.

It is a truism, that the institution of chieftaincy is very relevant where and when the tentacles of modern-day governance do not fully cover. This does not in any way warrant needless interference by traditional authorities in any governance process.

Nana Kwasi Essah is of the deepest conviction that, the selection and appointment of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive officers are preserved for the president H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo through laid down structures and procedures.

"This state is uttered because,  we are unable to resist the temptation of responding to series of pressers from various groups on certain allegations made against the MCE for the Lower West Akim Municipality, Hon Seth Oduro Boadu.

"It is a requirement that organizers of such pressers would read their history books well in order to feed the general public with information that is sacred, factual, credible and devoid of sensationalism and watered emotions. This cannot be said about their knee jerk press statement.

"We wish to make it known that Asamankese is not a traditional area as being mention in their presser. Asamankese has two important chiefs - Osabarimah Adu Darko IM and Barimah Essah Kwesi Mensah Bediako III serving under the Ose3wuo Division headed by the chief of Akyem Wench, Dasebre Dr Nyarko Asumadu Appiah with our overlord being the Okyehene, H.M Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin. We are traditional siblings serving one great father."
