DEFEATED parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abirem constituency of the Eastern Region, Mr Frank Ahima Mireku who has declared his intention to contest the December 2024 general election as an independent parliamentary candidate has landed himself into a big trouble.

He is in trouble because the family members and citizens of Akyem Afosu have approached the embattled Mireku and his team to give them a strong warning to, immediately desist themselves from spreading malicious lies and misinformation about Ambassador Charles Owiredu.

They given the embattled Mireku and his team two weeks ultimatum to reach out to Ambassador Charles Owiredu and render an unqualified apology for unjustifiably tagging the NPP PC as non citizen of Akyem Afosu land.

Speaking on behalf of the Ayokuo Family in Afosu, Mr. Sasu Kingsley noted that it is imperative that the public be aware of the deceitful tactics and understand the truth behind the falsehoods in the attempt for the Independent candidate to undermine the credibility of the upcoming parliamentary Candidate in Abirem Constituency.

"We are saying that the public should disregard the numerous lies perpetrating by the independent candidate to the effect that the newly elected parliamentary candidate for the  NPP in the Abirem Constituency, H.E Charles Asuako Owiredu is not a native of the area for that matter he is a total stranger.

"We are saying that these are the diabolical tactics of the independent candidate to tarnish the reputation of the Parliamentary Candidate elect and also an insult to the discerning delegates who elected H.E Charles Asuako Owiredu in the constituency," they set the record straight.

On his part, the Head of Akyem Afosu Aduana Family, Nana Kwame Mensah described the actions of Mr. Frank Ahema Mireku as worrying and unfortunate.

"We are given two weeks ultimatum to the independent candidate to render apology and retract his unprinted statement made against Ambassador Charles Owiredu or else he will incurred their wrath," they fumed.

Nana Kwame Nkrumah, also warned Mr. Ahema Mireku, to use the same medium he used to disgrace Ambassador Charles Owiredu to retract his unguided remarks.
