According to him, they promoted local consumption of chocolate and other cocoa-based products to also make chocolate a gift of choice not only on Valentine’s Day but on all occasions together.

Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah visited the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Farm in Mampong Akuapem to launch the 2022 National Chocolate Week.

It was a beautiful experience witnessing what is believed to be some of the first cocoa trees planted in Ghana.

“Last year, we all joined forces to celebrate the maiden edition”, he says.


 
According to him, they promoted local consumption of chocolate and other cocoa-based products to also make chocolate a gift of choice not only on Valentine’s Day but on all occasions together.

He added that this year, they are again afforded another opportunity to achieve this feat between the 8th to 14th February 2022 as they mark the 2022 National Chocolate Week. 

“Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy and Grow Ghana” is the theme and everyone is encouraged to do so.
