Nana Kwesi  Kwansah II  Remains Only  Legitimate Omankrado Of Gomoa Fetteh  -Kingmakers And Akyempim Traditional Council Set Records Straight
Nana Kwesi Kwansah II, Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool
Nana Kwesi Kwansah II remains the only recognized Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool in the Central Region, the principal kingmakers and accredited elders of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool together with chiefs and traditional office holders of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council have set the record straight.

According to the historical records from the heads of family, elders and kingmakers corroborated with the credible information from the chiefs and elders of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council, Nana Kwesi Kwansah II remains the legitimate Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh in accordance with the Chieftaincy Act 759 of 2008 which is well captured in Section 57, Sub-Section (1) Who a Chief is.
They explained that based on Section 57, sub-section (1) of the above Act, a chief is a person hailing from the appropriate house and lineage, validly nominated, selected, enstooled or installed in accordance with the relevant customary laws and usage of the particular area.
They warned various self-seeking individuals and elders who are interested in the position of Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh to stop their continuous habit of hiding behind the faceless elders in Gomoa Fetteh to attack the integrity of the traditionally and customary installed Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh,Nana Kwesi Kwansah II.

"If some individuals are interested in the position of the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh, it is not proper for such persons to wrongly accuse the only recognized and legitimate principal Kingmaker of the Gomoa Royal Stool as well as the current Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh and fabricate stories and lies just because of their selfish interests.
"The continuous habit of attacking prominent personalities, peddling falsehoods and destroying their hard-earned reputations because of chieftaincy positions is not good for the Gomoa Fetteh and must stop now in our chieftaincy politics," the aggrieved Gomoa kingmakers warned.
The kingmakers issued the warning while debunking a report published by the local, traditional and social media platforms that The Gomoa Fetteh Royal Family has asked one Kwasi Alhaji to stop holding himself as the Mankrodo of Gomoa.

The royal family, who have described Mr. Kwesi Alhaji as a self-imposed chief, have also accused him of being a land guard who is fueling conflicts in the area.
A statement issued by the secretary to the Royal Family of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Essel, has asserted that the brewing conflicts that have stalled the development of the area are championed by Kwasi Alhaji, a man strutting about as Mankrado of Gomoa Fetteh.
The statement further accuses Mr. Alhaji of being a non-indigene whose attempt to be gazetted by the Central Regional House of Chiefs as a legitimate sub-chief to the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool has been suspended indefinitely by the Central Regional House of Chiefs.
But in a quick counter of the claims by the group, the kingmakers led by Abusuapanyin Kwao Attah noted that so far as Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool tradition and customs were concerned they never knew those who called themselves elders of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool, adding that these elders are fake and imposters, saying that "they don't have traditional capacities to challenge the Chieftaincy status of Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh."

Abusuapanyin Kwao Attah stressed that the allegations leveled against Nana Kwensi Kwansah II were untrue and mere attempts to smear him and his hard-earned reputation.
According to him, those who were attacking the integrity of the Omankrado Gomoa Fetteh are even not from Gomoa Fetteh, explaining that they are not living in the area.
According  to Abusuapanyin Kwao Attah, Nana Essel and his followers who causing unnecessary confusion and trouble in the area living in Accra and warned them to stop their continuous habits of disrespecting Nana Kwesi Kwansah II.
He denied that Nana Kwesi Kwansah II is a land guard who is fueling conflicts in the area, adding that "at the appropriate time we the elders and kingmakers of the area would deal with those trouble makers who are fomenting trouble in the area."
For his part, the  Registrar of the Gomoah Akyempim Traditional Council, Mr Henry Effah Agyei, who was contacted to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of the claims, Nana Kwesi Kwansah II came to swear himself in as President of the Gomoa Traditional Council, Obirifo Ahunu Ahor Ankobea II, as the legitimate Mankrado of Gomoa Feteh in December 2020, he confirmed said the Council recognizes him as the legitimate occupant of the Omankrado Stool.
He reaffirmed that Nana Kwesi Kwansah II is the recognized member of the Council who is in the good standing.
He added that Nana Kwesi Kwansah II has been lawfully and customarily installed as the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh and that he was brought by the various kingmakers and elders of the stool to the Council to be sworn-in into the fold of the chiefs and traditional office holders in December 2020.
He maintained that since he was sworn-in into the folds of the chiefs and traditional office holders of the Council, Nana Kwesi Kwansah II has been playing an instrumental and active roles as the recognized member of the Council.
"We also recognized him as the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool and we had no complains about that he is the land-guards kingpins. We are saying that no complains in that regard has come to our notice or knowledge. The Gomoa Akwapim Traditional Council deals with the Chieftaincy issues and that we don't associate ourselves with issues connecting to the land litigation," Mr Agyei emphasized.
When asked that has it any assistance from the Council to help the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh to secure his gazette in the National House of Chiefs (NHCs) Mr.Agyei responded in affirmative.
According to him, it was in the Chieftaincy Act that the movement a chief was sworn-in into the folds of the chiefs and traditional office holders of the Council, Nana Kwesi Kwansah has been mandated to be gazzetted.

He noted that the movement "you are sworn-in into the council, it is a voluntary that the chief- install or elect would come to the Council together with his head of the family to request the gazzetting processing forms and filed."
"However in the case of the Gomoa Fetteh Omankrado, he has gone through these legal and lawfully Chieftaincy gazzetting processes and he has already submitted his forms to the National House of Chiefs who is awaiting for securing of his gazette.
"...this is the mandatory processes and that it is not that the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council has been supporting Nana Kwesi Kwansah II to be gazzetted. His gazzette forms have been processed and he would soon be gazzetted by National House of Chiefs," Mr Agyei affirmed.

"If Nana Kwansi Kwansah II is not a recognized and legally installed Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh why is it that he was officially invited by the Gomoa East District Assembly to grace the occasion of the recently held press conference against the land-guards of collecting digging fees from the land developers in the district," Mr. Agyei rethorically asked.
