Kuami Eugene has expertly exempted himself from the political theme song conversation.

According to the Vodafone Ghana Music Award's Artist of The Year, he will not record any campaign song for the NPP unless the president himself calls him personally.

He made this admission concerning the 2020 elections which are just around the corner.

According to him, although he is willing to campaign for political organisations but not for free unlike most artistes when he spoke in an interview on Kastle Drive.

No, I won’t drop any campaign song for Nana Akufo-Addo. I’m concentrating on my job for now so Nana Addo should also work hard for the upcoming election.

“Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is my president so if he should invite me and request that I do a campaign song for him why not I will gladly oblige to do so.”

Apparently, Kuami Eugene is admitting that his musical career is more important than any other thing facing him at the moment.

Although the artistes admitted that this is the prime time to get a massive payout from the politicians since they're probably never going to pay attention to anyone else after they win the elections, he is not ready to make any song free for any party.
