MP for Ablekuma North Commiserates With Disaster Victims In East Darkuman
The MP expressed her sympathy with the victims when she paid an emergency visit to the scene of a fire disaster in her constituency on Thursday, 17th February 2022,

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Madam Sheila Bartels has commiserated with the fire disaster victims in East Darkuman of Accra.
The MP expressed her sympathy with the victims when she paid an emergency visit to the scene of a fire disaster in her constituency on Thursday, 17th February 2022,
The purpose of this visit was to commiserate with the victims, assess firsthand the damage caused by the fire and engage the displaced victims and other members of the community on the way forward.
The unfortunate fire disaster which happened in the afternoon of Wednesday, 16 February 2022, razed down several wooden structures on a plot of land close to the Ansarudeen Islamic School, which served as the homes for many young people and their families. Neighbouring properties were also affected.
Madam Bartels was accompanied during her visit by several local governments and party officials which included the assembly member for the area – Mr Eric Obeng, the deputy constituency Nasara coordinator for the NPP, Mr Bilyamin Maikankan, and the deputy youth organizer – Mr Isaac Ababio. Other community opinion leaders who were also present during the visit were Mr Gideon Oblitey Commey, Mr Enoch Asamoah, Alhaji Yussif Salisu, Hajia Fati Seidu Laminu and Mr JCB Cobbold.
Addressing the victims and other members of the community, the female described the accident unfortunate and promised to support the victims to have their sustainable lives.
She indicated her readiness to support the displaced residents in putting up temporary living structures until a more suitable living arrangement could be made.
