Minority Caucus in Parliament exposed the government over inflated Contract of an Office Complex Project at BOST

The Minority on the Mines and Energy Committee of Parliament has exposed the government over the inflating contract figure for the construction of a twin tower from 39 million dollars to 79 million dollars.

According to the ranking on the Mines and Energy Committee of Parliament, John Abu Jinapor, Bulk Oil and Transportation Company (BOST) under the able leadership of Mr. Kwame Awuah Darko commenced the process of constructing an ultra-modern twin tower office in the year 2015 to serve as office accommodation and to enhance internally generated funds.

He noted that the construction was to augment the cash flow of the BOST at a total cost of 39 million dollars.

However, a reconstituted Management by the Akufo Addo government under the leadership of Awuah Darko after accusing the erstwhile government of inflating the cost of the project has rather.

In contrast, the amount has been increased project sum to 79 million dollars, which the Minority could not understand.

They are therefore calling on the government for a bi-partisan Independent probe into what they referred to as the BOST  scandal.
