More commentary on Giorgia Meloni's triumph is now coming in.

The first woman to lead Italy has done a "very good" job of portraying herself as a "pragmatic, concrete" woman who is "ready to take responsibility for this country," according to Deborah Bergamini, a member of parliament for Silvio Berlusconi's center-right Forza Italia party, which is a part of Meloni's coalition.

Bergamini claims it is a "stereotype that has nothing to do with Mussolini" when asked if she is concerned about the party's connections to Mussolini's fascist movement.
