Kylian Mbappe’s hattrick and Mose Kean’s goal sunk Barcelona at home grounds despite Lionel Messi’s early lead fro the spot.

It was a promising start for the visitors, as Frenchman's ability was always a threat to Barca with his pace on the break but thanks to Ter Stege whose effort kept Barcelona from falling behind.

Barcelona produced a number of daring, clever forward passes and begun to dictate the play of the game but had challenges going forward at the initial stage.

Ronald Koeman’s men were awarded a penalty after De Jong on the right collided with Gueye whiles waiting to intercept Messi’s deftly floated ball. The Barcelona's captain whipped his strike to Navas's left, high, hard and precise into the top corner to lead by a goal to nil in the 27-minute.

Five minutes later, Paris hit back with a beautifully intricate goal. Kurzawa met a lofted pass outside the penalty area on the left, finding Verratti inside the penalty area, whose delicate first-time hooked pass had the speed to find Mbappé in a slither of space.

The striker showed masterful balance to trick his way beyond a clutch of defenders, using immaculate control before powering a lethal finish past Ter Stegen.

The visitors intensified their play and Ter Stegen was once again forced to make a dangerous stop. Kean needed no invitation to shoot from the edge of the penalty area on the right, turning to thunder in a shot from a difficult angle that soared towards the goalkeeper’s near post.

Twenty-minutes in the second half, Mbappe grabbed his second after Paredes lofted a superb long pass towards Paredes on the right of the penalty area, who deceived his markers before sending a half-volleyed pass across the face of Ter Stegen's goal. Barcelona did not deal with the danger effectively, and the rebound fell to Mbappé at close range, who gratefully fired into the net.

Moise Kean scored the third in the 70-minute before Mbappe completed his hat trick at the Camp Nou. Paris broke from a Barcelona attack as Draxler set off on an expert run designed to draw three defenders around him as he approached the penalty area through the centre. He then found the Mbappe on the left and he curled coolly beyond Ter Stegen and into the roof of the far corner of the net.

Barcelona must score three unanswered goals at the Parc des Princes if they want to go through the next stage.
