The exercise aimed at cleaning the premises of the school and Abetifi township towards the  preparation to inaugurate the formation of the Association to the general public.

Hundreds of the Old Students Association of Abetifi Vocational Training Institute (Avotrain) in Abetifi Kwahu of the Eastern Region have embarked on a massive clean-up exercise to sensitize the members of the Association.

The exercise aimed at cleaning the premises of the school and Abetifi township towards the  preparation to inaugurate the formation of the Association to the general public.

The clean up exercise which brought together 200 students cleaned the school premises, Abetifi township, as well as picking of polythene bags, weeding, sweeping, gathering and disposing of refuse within the area.

Addressing participants after the exercise,
Chairman for the Avotrain Old Students Association (GREAT AVOSA), Mr. Eric Effah Addo expressed his gratitude to the students for the massive participation in the exercise.
Mr. Eric Effah Addo explained that the exercise was held in commemoration of the School and community to maintain a clean and healthy environment at all times so as to stay away from communicable diseases, adding that "Cleanliness is next to Godliness."

He advised students to refrain from indiscriminate disposal of waste on campus and the entire Abetifi townshipand encouraged them to make good use of the waste bins.
