Ghanaian actress and the brand ambassador for GTP have revealed her displeasure about how Ghana is undeveloped despite abundance of natural resources.

The actress expressed her disappointment in Ghanaian leaders during her interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM.

According to Martha, the United Arad Emirates (Dubai) has only one natural resource that's oil, yet they are far developed than Ghana having gold, cocoa, oil, and more. The inability of Ghanaian leaders to neutralize them has caused the country not to develop.

She said, “our problem is actually leadership, not just politicians in Ghana, but the whole of African. The problem is leadership.

She continued that,” if Dubai extracts only oil and has been able to develop its country. And Ghana, God has blessed us with all resources, including oil. And yet, we are poor. Then there is no need for other countries to borrow money from Ghana because it is very worrying."

Martha also showed her grief about how students in Ghana sit under trees to learn while the leaders and MPs in the country drive in V8 and share chicken, goats, and bicycles during elections.

She said, “Ghana was gifted with everything on earth, but our problem is leadership. And if our leaders are going to change their mindset and have a love for the country, then Ghana would be a better place to be. I feel sad when I see school children under tress learning and MPs drive in V8 sharing goats, chickens, and bicycles during elections.

The ambassador is beseeching the government officials, particularly lawmakers, to make the needs of the country their priorities over their own personal interests.

She concluded, “Do something for someone to say this MP worked. He constructed roads, not the MP that did nothing whiles school children are learning under trees. Good name, the Bible says, is better than riches.
