Man, 39 battles for his life after being butchered
Reports say a 39 year man who sustained cutlass wounds from an unknown assailant is battling for his life at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital.

A 39-year-old man battles for his life at the St Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin North District of the Central Region following cutlass wounds sustained from an unidentified assailant.
Eyewitnesses say they heard the victim screaming for help in his room around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, shortly after he returned from work and was lying in his bed.
They rushed to the scene to find the victim in a pool of his blood with his wrist and some of the fingers chopped off while his head, cheek, neck, and back had deep cuts.
He was then rushed to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu for medical attention.
The victim is said to have been married and blessed with 3 children.
Although the perpetrator is yet to be identified, the residents suspect one Fiifi, which reports say has been engaging the victim in a serious exchanges over the ownership of the victim’s lastborn (baby).
The suspect claimed that his love affair with the victim's wife has resulted in the said child’s birth.
Chief of Assin Anwiasu, Nana Yaw Kwanning Ababio who confirmed the report revealed that he and his elders had once tried to resolve the issue but all to no avail.
The Chief of the Area said he and his elders advised him to report the death threat to the police to take action but he refused, therefore they were surprised about the current occurrences.
Meanwhile, a team of police officers within the Assin Nyankomase upon hearing the incident swiftly visited the crime scene and visited the victim at the hospital to commence an investigation into the matter.
