Angry Tamale residents storm NEDCo

Angry residents of Tamale central market have stormed the Northern Electricity Distribution (NEDCo) Office over regular power outage.

Electricity challenges this day in Tamale and its surrounding is becoming rampant, as a result, the residents stormed the NEDCo office on Friday, April 30, 2021/

According to the angry residents, over some days now, there has been a power outage in the central market.

They said, whenever they complain to NEDCo, they always tell them the light will come but the moment they go back to their shops they don't see any results, hence they have to storm the place since they need electricity to work with.

They complained that light is very essential to them because they use light to operate their shops.  and its intermittent nature is to the collapse of their business.

Some of the cold store operators said, their fishes are getting rotten and is running them at a loss.

They added that they don't even own the electricity company a penny but they don't know, why they are acting that way towards them.

They, therefore, gave NEDCo a two-hour ultimatum to work on the power outage or else they should blame their action on whatever outcome incurred.
