Love is a farce, like a swindle, says Yvonne Nelson

Yvonne Nelson, an actress and businesswoman, recently spoke with Accra-based Power FM about her perspective on love and life.

She referred to love as a con since, at least in her experience, it was almost always conditional.

She told the host, "What you see on the screen is acting," before talking about love: "Love is a swindle (in reality), and we all know it, isn't it so?

She went on to say: "Because we are all con artists, I believe that love is a fraud. When someone talks about love, they are usually looking for something—be it money or sex—and since it's conditional, it's a con."

According to her, males have lied to women frequently using the excuse of love: "I simply want something from you and so they just use the term love and it's typically the ladies being lied to by the guys."

When questioned directly about whether or not she was in love, she answered: "I'm sorry, love, but I'm not there yet. It was like a joke, but I used to adore it. It's a con, "she emph.
