Let's face it, farming is expensive, the youth are not lazy – Bridget Otoo

Kwadwo Safo Jr., the chief executive officer of the Kantanka group of firms, has been called out by Bridget Otoo for calling Ghanaian youths lazy.

Yesterday morning, Kwadwo Safo criticized Ghana's young on his Twitter page, calling them sluggish and unwilling to get their hands dirty.

He stated, "Youth in farming is the way forward," in a tweet that was seen on his page. Everyone is capable, however small. Plant a tree. Not everything is the fault of the government. No. We as citizens must assume accountability. Today's youth are genuinely sluggish. Nobody wants to have unclean hands.

However, Bridget Otoo has dragged Kwadwo Safo, claiming that farming is not as inexpensive as people believe.

She claims that farming now appears to be a privilege reserved for the wealthy due to the high cost of labor, land tools, and other factors.

She noted in her tweet that "farming is expensive. Let's face it, it even starts to seem like the wealthy are the ones who are farming," she said.

"When people talk about farming, they imply that they are providing free land, paying for labor, and the youth are rejecting to work in the industry.

Even though my father gifted me farmland, we haven't been able to locate the funds to use it. She said, "Not having money does not equate to being a slacker.
