A female and eight suspected men are currently in the grips of Eastern Regional Police Command, cooling off in the custody of Police at Asuom in the Kwaebibirim Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana for trading in hard drugs.
 
The alleged Culprits are; Kate Otiwaa, Asimah Emmanuel, Marfo Peprah, Paul Ankomah, Asiedu Daniel, Kofi Nyarko, Kwarteng Michael, Kwadwo Kyei, and Samuel Amuzu were all arrested in a swoop upon a tip-off last night, September 29, 2021.

According to information gathered from the police, the suspects were arrested together with some quantities of 1,049 wrapped plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp (Wee).
 
The Police found on them, two boxes of Sparkling Kingsize rolling papers, one parcel of plant substance suspected to be Indian hemp, one pack of Rothmans cigarette which contained 5 pieces of cigarette, two polythene bags containing plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and 5 packs of Cicada Rolling papers.
 
The Police further mounted a search in the house of Suspect; Asimah Emmanuel, where they retrieved three sacks of plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp, six yellow tablets containing plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and three boxes of tramadol were also seized by the police.
