Jurgen Klopp has phoned Kylian Mbappe’s father and enquired about son’s availability to play for Liverpool in the coming season.

According to Le10 Sport, the German wanted to convince the PSG star’s guardian to convert his son’s interest from the Ligue 1 club and other interested moves by top teams to join the Reds project in the upcoming season.

Mbappe professed his love for Liverpool sometime after the Reds impressive performance in last year’s European competition especially the four-goal thriller against Barcelona at Anfiled to qualify them to the final of the Champions League, which they won.

The PSG star seem to have a decent relationship with Liverpool players following Trent-Mbappe's celebration in his thunderbolt goal against Leicester in the Premier League.
