Kenyasi no.1 Chief advocates for Municipal status, calls on residents to avail themselves to be counted       

The Chief of Kenyasi no.1 in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region Nana Osei Kofi Abiri II has called on the government to elevate the District to Municipality status.

He called on his people to actively participate in the ongoing census to enable the district to have accurate data that will pave way for the district to be elevated to municipal status.

According to him, the district had a population that obviously qualified the district to be elevated to municipal status. He made this call after he was counted by the census officials.

The Asutifi North District Census Officer Mr Daniel Owusu who carried the exercise on the Kenyasi chief admonished the residents to take the ongoing census seriously and provide the needed information to the enumerators to enable the district to gather accurate and reliable data for development planning purposes.
