David Moyes has updated that Jesse Lingard is ‘more than ready’ to contribute to the Hammers efforts on the pitch in their Premier League fixture on Wednesday.

The Manchester United forward joined West Ham on loan in the just-ended transfer window and was not included in the squad against Liverpool last Sunday.

David Moyes side lost to the Champions in a fiery encounter at the London Stadium and would look to improve as they look to compete for a top-four place especially at a time where Spurs and Arsenal are failing to provide competition.

West Ham will visit the Villa Park to take on Dean Smith’s Aston Villa on Wednesday, a match likely to feature the 28-year old English international.

“His fitness levels are fine, he is a lean boy and doesn't carry any weight. He is in good shape and Manchester United I'm sure would have kept him in good condition as well,” Moyes told.

“I think the problem more than anything for Jesse is if he is completely matched ready to play. You only get that by playing matches as well so we'll have him in and around the squad.”

The Manager added that Michail Antonio is fit to be featured.

“Mick is OK. We’re pleased he’s come through recent games well and he seems OK.”
