Ghanaian artiste, Efya has cleared the air that she has never had a baby.

The songstress said this in relation to the rumors late last year that she had given birth to a baby girl. She described the period as a dark one in her life because she did not like the false accusations.

In her own words, it was "the worst rumor" that has ever been carried on the media about her.

In December 2019, it was rumored that Efya has given birth to a baby girl after photos of a newborn child were seen on her social media pages. She uploaded four pictures of a newborn and captioned it with:  “Welcome Darling I Love You"

Although her fans who had been following her already correctly deduced that she was congratulating someone close to her, the media propagated that it was her child since they had 'seen' a picture of her baby bump a while before then.

According to Efya, she normally does not give any mind to rumors, but this particular one caught her attention, hitting her and hard while almost dragging her to the point of depression. She revealed that the baby rumors were more painful that the rumors of herself having an affair with Sarkodie or the one where she was tagged a drug addict.

“People thought I had a baby at a point. I didn’t even look like I had a baby at that time. Although it’s not a bad thing, I have never had a baby before. I don’t let such things get to me but this was the worst story I’ve heard about myself,” she maintained.
