Criminals must not feel comfortable in the dwellings of humans.  This is the caution from the inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare

According to the police Chief, since the launch of the West African Police Information System (WAPIS)  in 2012, lots of successes have been checked hence the need to intensify efforts within the West Africa Sub Region.

WAPIS was established by all 16 West African countries to fight violent crime in 2012.

The 3-day event here in Accra is expected to help Interpol and the Ghana police take stock of their activities and plan a better way forward.

Speaking at the opening of the event Dr. AKUFFO Dampare who said the time has come to deepen collaboration also called for a change of name to West African Security Information System to make ownership wholistic and not limited to only the police
