I’m not an A artiste yet, Talkless of Sarkodie Level - Yaw Tog

Yaw Tog has sincerely asked his fans to stop comparing him to the legendary Sarkodie.

The fast-rising superstar who has been touted to be "better than Sarkodie" after he became the first artiste ever to get his music video hit 1 million views on Youtube in three days, conceded that he understands his place in the musical landscape.

If Sarkodie is A list, he is Z list, he claimed.

"I’ve seen people comparing me to legends like Sarkodie, etc. The level Sarkodie has reached in music, I‘m yet to get there. People should stop doing that.”

"I don’t even consider myself an "A" list artist. For now, I’m a "Z" list artiste and climbing the ranks in the game,"

This he said in an interview with Ibrahim Ben-Brako on Joy Prime. 

Yaw Tog recently got the fans singing his praises after is "Sore" remix with Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy hit the waves hard pulling in massive streams in just a couple of hours.

His fans immediately dubbed him as "better than Sarkodie", as even the rap god has never seen such boom in YouTube streams ever in his entire career.

His words come after Kofi Jamar warned fans of fast-rising music stars to stop comparing their favorites to legendary acts like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy. 

“Stop disrespecting people like Sarkodie, Shatta, Stonebwoy, and the likes just because of an achievement made by we newbies. What we’ve come to see and accomplish is been their years of hardworking and consistency. Let’s put some respect on their names plsss“ The rapper clamoured.
