It has emerged that the largest indigenous mining company in West Africa, Engineers, and Planners, owned by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama which was in 2017 denied the opportunity by the government of Ghana to mine bauxite at Nyinahini in the Ashanti Region is now excelling in the operation of commercial mining in the international community.
This manifestation attests to the current news which has gone viral on social media platforms that Engineers & Planners which is an African mining and construction behemoth is profiled as the best indigenous mining company, competing with multinational mining companies.

The research by the global magazine focused on Mr. Mahama as a business mogul and also business leader in Africa especially in the field of mining.
Mr. Mahama who was born on 29 January 1971 is a Ghanaian businessman, and the founder of Engineers and Planners, the largest indigenous-owned mining company in West Africa, and the owner of several other businesses in Ghana.
He is the younger brother of Ex-President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Mahama founded E&P in 1997 and has been mining for Goldfields Ghana and other mining companies since 2002.
E&P opened up the Liberian economy to commercial mining activities after over two decades of civil war when it won the contract to mine iron ore for Arcelor Mittal in Yekepa Liberia and recently signed a US$1.7 billion contract with Goldfields Ghana, which is currently being executed at the Tarkwa mine.
Recently, the President of DR Congo, Mr. Felix Tshisekedi has contracted an E&P company to start commercial mining of bauxite in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).
In addition to that, Engineers and Planners are to help build the capacity of the power sector in DR Congo.
