I Will Give Assembly Members Monthly Allowance-Mahama Reassures

THE FLAGBEARER of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E Joh Dramani Mahama has indicated that the next NDC administration would pay a monthly allowance of 1000ghc to all Assembly members across the country.

Mr Mahama disclosed that paying Assembly members should not be a big deal for the nation on the grounds that the said allowances would only cost the country an amount of Gh¢80 million annually.

Mr Mahama made this assurance in Hohoe to climax two- day " Building the Ghana we want together" tour to the Volta region. 

He added that, the government's allocated budget would be dwindled to take care of the allowances of the Assembly members.

" The office of the President's budget alone is more than GH¢2 billion.We are going to reduce the President's office expenditure to pay the Assembly members"

Mr Mahama reiterated that the next NDC administration would scrap the teacher licensure examination.
