But the actor made it clear that he doesn't use strong narcotics.

In a widely shared video on his Instagram page, Hanks acknowledged drinking, citing his years of unemployment as a source of despair and his concern for his kids' well-being.

"Yeah, depression makes me drink, but I never take hard drugs, I don't take hard drugs at all," the actor admitted.

"After coming out of depression, I spent years without a job. Among other things, I was worrying about my kids' wellbeing and school expenses, and you know what happens when it gets to that point.

The 63-year-old stated, "I call it a breaking point; I was broken to pieces and I had to go drinking and that's it."

Hanks Anuku recently shared a family photo of himself and his family and expressed his gratitude for his son.

The actor claimed that his ability to get himself together was greatly aided by his son.

He wrote, “Y’all should please give my son a follow and a like. He really helped me get myself together, I thank God for him and my daughter”.
