According to the legislator, hypertitis B is more dangerous than HIV AIDS hence the people of Winneba are advised to avoid a lifestyles which may promote the killer disease.

THE DEPUTY Majority Leader who doubles as the MP for Effutu, Winneba in the Central Region, Honourable Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has educated the general public over how dangerous it is to be a patient of Hypertitis B .
According to the legislator, hypertitis B is more dangerous than HIV AIDS hence the people of Winneba are advised to avoid a lifestyles which may promote the killer disease.
He has however donated an amount of GH1m for treatment, testing and vaccination in Winneba since the Hypertitis B disease is rapidly increasing amongst the youth and pregnant women.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, Alhaji Kassim Zubeiru who spoke on behalf of the MP Hon Alexander Kwamina Afenyo Markin,  indicated that the MP will continue to lead the fight against the disease as many more innocent people are killed yearly by the killer disease.
The MP has always indicated his support and readiness towards fighting this silent killer and also help raise awareness of the disease. He also played a key role by supporting the NGO to run several random tests within the Municipality and administer vaccines,” the MCE said.
He mentioned this to Angel news reporter Opanyin Darko when Hon. Alexander Kwamina Afenyo Markin collaborated with Mumbies Foundation Ghana to testing and vaccination of Residents in Effutu Winneba yesterday.
For his part, the Project Manager for Mumbies Foundation Ghana, Mr. Isreal Adorbl3 noted that, although the disease is on the ascendency in the enclave, the MP’s support towards ensuring the total eradication of the disease comes in handy.
He has however, called on the government to intervene and create awareness on various media platforms to help the  Eradication of the Hypertitis B disease in the country.
