The wife of Ghana's  Health Minister, Honorable. Agyeman Manu, Mrs Suzzy Agyemang Manu has   Today 7th March 2022, held a free health screening for the people of Kato in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region through her foundation dubbed, "Mama Suzzy Foundation".

The wife of Ghana's  Health Minister, Honorable Agyeman Manu, Mrs. Suzzy Agyemang Manu has   Today 7th March 2022, held a free health screening for the people of Kato in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region through her foundation dubbed, "Mama Suzzy Foundation".

The Non-Government Foundation is owned and run by the wife of the Health Minister and the MP of Dormaa Central Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu has over the years supported the people of Berekum and its environs in so many ways that ought for support.

The screening which was held at the Kato R C Primary School attracted a lot of old and young people who took advantage to check their blood sugar levels, breast cancer, diabetes among other common diseases. 

Speaking to Dr. Nyame-Aye Daisie, one of the doctors who diagnosed the participant, he advised that health is now costly and no one should take their health matters for granted.

She urged the general public to take advantage of such screenings whenever is announced. 

She said regular checkups are very effective to monitor the health status of an individual therefore routine health checks ios at the hospital should be taken into consideration so that one can be saved from any unforeseen health conditions. 

Madam Jemima Amoah the Organizer of the Foundation also expressed her gratitude to the health workers and the people who attended the program to make it effective to screen for their health status.

She said quite apart from the free health screening, the Foundation has embarked upon a lot of health outreach programs, drilling of boreholes for some communities, construction of 6 Unit Classroom block for Gyeankontabuo, payment of Hospital Bill's and school fees for some needy and brilliant students among other donations. 

A beneficiary of the program Madam Faustina Akosua Gyabaa also thanked the leadership of the Mama Suzy Foundation for the screening exercise to enable them to check their health status, especially on the old people so that they can make a follow up for better treatment.
