Saving heart foundation sponsors surgery for four children in Bono region    

Four children in the Bono Region, have benefited from life-saving heart surgeries by the Saving Heart foundation.   The Foundation has settled the payments of Twenty-five thousand Ghana cedis (GHC25,000) for the four children suffering from congenital heart disease also known as Hole in Heart.

Four children in the Bono Region, have benefited from life-saving heart surgeries by the Saving Heart foundation.  


The Foundation has settled the payments of Twenty-five thousand Ghana cedis (GHC25,000) for the four children suffering from congenital heart disease also known as Hole in Heart.


The children were born with congenital heart diseases but their parents were unable to raise money for their surgery requirements so they could not be treated.


However, “Saving a Heart foundation” a non-profitable organization based in Tema came to rescue children with heart conditions in the country and has over the past 10 years paid for the heart surgery of children. The charitable organization has been able to sponsor 18 children who have undergone successful surgery across the country.


In an interview, the founder of Saving a Heart foundation who doubles as a gospel musician Mr. Nii Okai said the organization which began its activities some years ago started with 10 children being provided for the full payment of their surgery.


 “If the four children in the Bono region who are yet to undergo surgery are added to the 18 children who have already benefited from the NGO, in all we have paid for 22 children” he opined.


According to him, the ‘Saving Hearts Foundation,’ is an initiative brought to was to improve the health and welfare of children and support those with various heart-related diseases to undergo heart surgeries.


Mr. Okai speaking on the sidelines interview with Soiree News during the annual Nii Okai’s “Hymns Unlimited” concert held at Temple of praise ministries international popularly known as Top in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region, said the foundation was to raise enough money to foot the bill for four children’s heart surgeries.


He noted that they have liaised with the Dormaa Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital which the hospital selects the children from the northern sector of the country whose parents are finding it difficult to meet the requirement of the surgery.


Mr. Okai appealed for support to cater to children suffering from heart problems in society. He said called on people who want to inquire more about the organization and support them as well can do that through *887*234#.


 He called on other NGOs and benevolent individuals to emulate their gestures to help the less vulnerable ones in society.
