If our teachers failed to consider our plea and return to classrooms and teach it will have a damning impact on the academic calendar of the final year Senior High School students across the country some final year students at the Wenchi Methodist Senior High School asserted.

Some students at Wenchi in the Bono Region has appealed to the leadership of the three Teacher Unions and its members that are on strike to call off the strike and returned to the classrooms.

Some final year Senior High School students at the Wenchi Methodist Senior High School said if the teachers failed to return to the classrooms and teach it will have a damning impact on the academic calendar of the final year Senior High School students across the country and therefore called on the teachers to consider their plea and come back to school.

The three Teacher Unions namely Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) declare the industrial strike action over the appointment of the new Director General of the Ghana Education Service Dr Eric Nkansah.

The students made the appealed in an interview with our correspondent Nana Anfreh Damanata.

When visited the school the students were in their various classrooms with no teachers.

We don't know our teachers are on strike just to come to school this morning to hear that they are on strike the students explained in a dissatisfaction manner.
