Kuami Eugene has suggested that gospel tracks be played in nightclubs and other secular spots.

According to him, gospel music is for the sole purpose of evangelism and there's no point doing evangelism in the church since the aim is to bring more souls to the church.

He explained that anyone that is in the church does not need to be led to the church, as only those who are outside the church can be brought in.

Based on these points, therefore, gospel music is more appropriate when played in places where there are a lot of "sinners"; places like nightclubs, bar spots e.t.c.

“The best way to sell gospel should be in the clubs”.

“If gospel music is made for people that are close to God, then it should be played only in the church because that is where you find people that claim they really love God. Evangelism is the ability to go out there and reach as many people to share things about God with so I think it is even best to use every single opportunity to do that”,

This he said in an interview on Y107.9FM’s Ryse n Shyne to host Brown Berry who noted that it is not right for him to infuse hip-life or whatever type of music he does with the gospel.

The complaint came as a general criticism of Kuami Eugene's recent trick of infusing his secular music with excerpts of gospel songs.

Kuami Eugene explained that the gospel is to reach as many souls as possible with every available opportunity.

He concluded that the name of God should be mentioned anywhere and everywhere for good measure.

“We should be welcoming as Christians and we should be able to mention the name of God everywhere we find ourselves,” he concluded.
