The brouhaha over who owns the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market facility land on the Kasoa-Winneba-Cape Cape Takoradi Highway in the Central Region has taken a new different dimension.
Setting the record straight over the ownership claim of the land, the newly-installed chief of Gomoa Dominase, Nana Okogyedom Safo Kantanka Atta IX stated categorically that the elders of Dominase are custodian owners of the onion market facility as contained in the historical records book of the area.
He pointed that they owned that land in question before they on July 21, 2006, legally leased to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medium Dwellings Company Limited, a real estate development company, Mr. Josiah Arku-Korsah in partnership agreement with the Anona Yoko family of Gomoa Dominase for a fixed term of ninety-nine (99) years to develop an ultra-modern One-District- One-Affordable Housing project.
Mincing no words, Nana Okogyedom Safo Kantanka Atta IX cautioned the Mankrado of Gomoah Fetteh under Gomoa Akyempim Traditional in the Central Region, Nana Kwesi Kwansah popularly called Akwesi Alhaji to stop his continuous practices of deceiving general public that he genuinely and legally bought  the land in question from Mr Arku-Korsah and established the onion market at Gomoa Dominase.
Currently, Nana Kwesi Kwansah declared his ownership of the Gomoa Dominase Onion Marke landt and claimed that he genuinely and legally bought the land from Mr. Arku-Korsah and fully paid for the facility.
Addressing some allegations leveled against him that he deployed land-guards to Gomoa Dominase Onion Market to protect the facility, Nana Kwesi Kwansah admitted that his deployed his boys to the market but denied his boys are not land-guards.
He noted that his decision to deploy the boys to protect the market was that the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market has now become his bonafide property.
" If the people are saying that l have sent the land-guards to the the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market, l want to state that the land in question is now my personal property because l bought the said land from Mr. Arku-Korsah and also bought another land from one Sam.
"I have used my money to buy the land and l don't use anything to buy the land for which there are genuine and legal documents to prove the legal acquisition of the land l bought from the two personalities.. So currently, l am in-charge of the control in the whole onion market in Gomoa Dominase," he stressed.
He maintained that he built the market with the purpose to help the people in Gomoa Dominase and its adjoining communities in the Central Region.
"So since the market belong to me it is my responsibility to ensure the daily protection of the landed property in Gomoa Dominase," he noted.reaffirming that "l have deployed my boys to guide the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market facility for him," Nana Kwesi Kwansah noted.
But in a quick response, Nana Okogyedom Safo Kantanka Atta IX stated that the ownership claim made to the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market land by Kwesi Alhaji sounds very interesting.
According to the chief, the elders of the Gomoa Dominase have no idea that Mr. Arku-Korsah sold the land in question to Kwesi Alhaji, stressing Kwesi Alhaji has not bought or purchased any land from the elders of Gomoa Dominase to establish the said onion market.
He indicated that "before the establishment of the market, the person whom "we the elders of Dominase know who purchased the land from us is Mr. Arku-Korsah. We don't know Kwesi Alhaji. We never knew that he [Kwesi Alhaji] owns that part of land so why is he saying that he owns the onion market land.?
He stated that before establishment of the onion market, the elders of the Gomoa Dominase dealt with Mr Korsah, adding that there are no genuine documents attesting to the fact that he [Kwesi Alhaji] bought the land in question from Mr Korsah.
Nana Okogyedom Safo Kantanka Atta IX  explained that all the land acquisition documents Kwesi Alhaji is currently holding to proof that indeed he bought the said land from Mr Korsah are all forgetory and fake, daring him to come publicly to prove his documents covering the land he claimed to have bought from Mr Korsah.
"Look one land, Paramount Chief of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobia II is currently claiming he owns the land; Kwesi Alhaji is also claiming he owns the land and Mr Korsah is claiming he owns that land.
"And that these are the people who had currently teamed-up to fight against the elders of Gomoa Dominase over the onion market land," he stated.
" We have freedom of speech, everybody can stand anywhere to say whatever suites he or her but when actual trues is established  it is there that you are going to know the real owners of the particular property.
"So Kwesi Alhaji can go round to speak to the people that he owns the Dominase Onion Market land. But in reality we don't know him over Gomoa Dominase Onion Market land," the chief stated.
