A Sweden based NGO, Give To Life Charity Organization has appealed to the government to prioritize the improvement of educational infrastructure in rural communities.

The move, according to the NGO, will help promote quality education for the country's future leaders within the rural setting.

The NGO bemoaned how sad the narratives are concerning children of farmers who are toiling in remote rural communities just to feed the nation and as well contribute to the Gross Domestic product (GDP)yet, are discriminated against.

The NGO could not understand why successive governments have neglected the provision of adequate infrastructure for the rural children and therefore urging for immediate attention towards their educational needs.

The NGO underscore the urgent need for government to take deliberate efforts to improve classroom blocks, laboratories, libraries, teaching and learning materials and accommodation for teachers at the basic school level in rural communities.

The President of Give To Life Charity Organization, Ghana, Madam Dorcas Dadzie made the appeal when they supported the Ayim Basic School in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region.

She stated that despite the location of parents and children, they deserved the best from the national kitty.

Touching on the road network within the community, Madam Dorcas Dadzie pointed out that deplorable road networks, coupled with bad classroom infrastructure and lack of adequate teaching and learning materials are impeding the successful education within the community.

The sad situation, according to the charity organization, is largely taking interest of education from rural children.

She concluded that every effort must be put in place to uplift themselves to break the poverty cycle.
