Ghanaians to Mark Founder's Day, Public Holiday declared

Founders' Day is a national public holiday observed to commemorate the contributions of all the people, notably the "Big Six" who led the struggle for Ghana's independence.

Wednesday, 4th August 2021 has been declared a statutory Public holiday, according to a press release from the Ministry of Interior.

The letter signed by the Minister for Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery copied to Soireenews noted that the day has been set aside to mark Founder's Day.

He, therefore, encouraged the public to observe the day as such throughout the country.

"The general public is hereby informed that Wednesday, 4th August 2021 which marks Founder's Day, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country". the full statement revealed.
