According to reports, the Ashanti King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of Ghana has been invited to the formal funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday at Westminster Abbey in London.

The invitation letter was tweeted by a nearby radio station.

In 1999, the 16th monarch, or Asantehene, King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, came to power.

The most significant ethnic group in Ghana reveres the Asantehene as its leader. However, the constitution forbids him from engaging in political activity in Ghana.

He welcomed the Prince Charles of the time at his Manhiya house in 2018.
