She added that everyone can do a self breasts examination at home every month to help detect any foreign lump in the breast or liquid in a form of milky juice coming out of the breast which can cause breast cancer.

A midwife and Cervical Cancer specialist at Akyem Kade government Hospital in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of Eastern Region; Mrs. Esther Akwetey has revealed that breast cancer is a deadly disease which killed over two thousand women in the country.
Following this development, she advocated that everyone especially women must get their breasts examined frequently and shouldn't wait till October the breasts cancer awareness month.
She added that everyone can do a self breasts examination at home every month to help detect any foreign lump in the breast or liquid in a form of milky juice coming out of the breast which can cause breast cancer.
"If you can't do self breast examination, you can visit specialist at the hospital for early detection of breast cancer," he noted.
Mrs. Esther Akwetey spoke to the media during a free breast screening held in Akyem Kade government hospital which was organized by the "Oil Palm Development Association - Ghana for women who are in the Oil Palm production business.
The Executive Secretary for Oil Palm Development Association - Ghana; Mr. Selorm Quame explained their main motive for organizing such free healthcare program for women in the Oil Palm production business and advised their members to regularly go to the hospital for breast examination.
Some of the women who attended the free breast screening shared their experience about the deadly breast cancer illness and advised their fellow women to take the matter seriously by visiting the hospital with their partners as well.
